Balance & Fall Prevention for Older Adults
This evidence-based program is designed to help older adults feel more confident about preventing and managing falls. Throughout eight weekly sessions, you will meet with a trained facilitator to build strength, improve balance, and develop strategies for staying active and independent.
Through group discussions, practical activities, light exercises, and take-home assignments, participants will explore how to reduce fall risks at home, set realistic activity goals, and shift their mindset around falling. Topics covered include home safety, self-advocacy, recognizing personal risk factors, and building healthy habits. Participants also learn safe techniques for getting up and down and practice exercises to improve coordination and stability.
Whether you're concerned about falling or want to stay active and steady on your feet, this class offers supportive tools and techniques to help you feel more in control.
