The Memorial Bench program is the perfect way to remember someone special who has given to or played a vital role in the Williston Community.


Memorial Bench Program Information:

The Williston Recreation & Parks Department makes all final decisions, including, but not limited to, the location and style of the memorial bench, and the text on the plaque.

Benches are placed along the Rec. Paths in the Village Community Park and Allen Brook Community Park.

The person making a bench donation is responsible for purchasing the memorial plaque that will be placed on the bench by the Williston Recreation & Parks Dept.

The Department must approve all text for Memorial Plaques.

Pre-approved Plaque Sizes:
  Plaque sizes- 2.5” x 6.5” – No larger than 2.5 inches wide by 6.5 inches long with a limit of four lines of text.
  Drill holes must be located ¼ inch from each side edge.

Process:
  The process begins with filling out and returning the Parks Donation Form, link above.
  Once the completed form is received it will be reviewed the applicant will be notified of the Department's decision.
  Once the plaque text is approved the order process will take place.
  It typically takes 2-3 weeks to receive the bench and the bench will be installed in the Spring, Summer, or Fall seasons.
