Children play a game to get ingredients to make their food.

Wintry sabotage comes with each recipe. Scavenger hunts, word puzzles, carnival games, equipment swaps, etc., await each participant as they work together to overcome obstacles. Recipe-building skills will be acquired during this camp.

Young chefs will whip up a variety of spooky, sweet, and savory treats while learning real kitchen skills they can use for a lifetime. From creepy creations to festive bites, this hands-on class blends creativity, confidence-building, and fun, all with a spooky twist.

Notes:
  • If your child has long hair, we recommend it be tied back.
  • Closed-toe shoes are required because the floor gets slippery.
  • Please make us aware of any dietary needs or restrictions (Allergies, gluten-free, vegetarian, etc.)
Instructor: Lynn Brown
Bio: Lynn has been teaching cooking and food systems recreationally for over 12 years.  Her degree in agriculture is the basis for her love of food, gardening, science, and nature.  She is the Garden Coordinator at WCS and Jr. Iron Chef VT coach whose team just won the Lively Local Award at this year's competition.  Lynn enjoys introducing kids to food through experiences and tastings.  She incorporates food system knowledge with games and lets kids explore flavor components with unique activities.  Her philosophy is that the kitchen should be a fun place to make mistakes as well as memories.
