PROGRAM INFORMATION:
The Rookies Basketball programs are designed for individuals who want to learn, play, and experience the game of basketball in a fun and engaging atmosphere. Each program offers children the opportunity to learn the game, improve their skills, and enjoy playing. Programs begin in January and meet on Saturdays for one hour.
There are separate programs for boys and girls.
Kick-Off: The Programs start with a Kick-Off on the first Saturday.
Practices/Scrimmages: Saturdays- 1/2 hour practice followed by 1/2 hour scrimmage each week.
Equipment:
All equipment is provided for practices and games. Players do not need to bring a ball
Dress to be active for practice and games
A Mouth Guard is recommended
Volunteer Coaches Needed!
To make the programs successful, we need your help! We rely on parents and community members to volunteer their time to coach groups of children who are looking for a positive basketball experience. Please sign up to coach when you register your child, or volunteer if you don't have children in the program.

Registration Information
- 1. Online registration is available with a credit card (a processing fee of $2 or 3.5 %, whichever is higher, plus 10 cents is added). Using this option, your balance is paid in full, and the person is enrolled.
- 2. Offline registration is available at the Recreation Dept. with a check or cash. You have to come in to do this. Please be sure to create a Household Account online before coming in if you don't have one already.
- 3. Registrations are NOT accepted over the phone or by email.
- 4. Registration closes per the deadline stated above.
- 5. Registration Deadline is used to ensure that there are enough participants to offer the program.
- 6. Registration Deadline is also used to ensure that coaches are found for the number of teams that will be formed.
- 7. After the Registration Deadline your child is put on a waiting list and placed on a team if numbers allow.
- 8. No registrations are accepted after the first day of practice or when a team has reached the maximum number.
- 9. If a program is Full, register for the waiting list using the Online Payment Option. No fee is charged.
- Don't Wait! Register Early! (A program might be canceled due to low enrollment or filled).
