Registration Deadlines
   Early-Bird Discount- Sunday, December 22 (for Williston Residents Only)
       $10 off the listed prices below, if registered and paid before the date above.
       Discount is applied at the time of checkout.
       Offline payments, check or cash, need to be in before the date above to get the Early-Bird Pricing.
   Registration Deadline- Sunday, December 29
       Registrations are not accepted after this date due to preparing lists for the schools.

Program Information:
  The program is for grades K-8.
  The program is at Cochran's and meets Wednesdays.
  The program is from 2:40-4:30 pm. 
  Lessons start at 2:40p and free ski/ride starts at 3:30p for levels 4 and above.
  The program meets in January, February, and March.
  The 1st-8th program meets for 7 weeks. 
  The Kindergarten Program meets for 6 weeks. 
  The program does NOT meet the week of the February Break.
  There will be a Big Mt Trip during the program, more information to follow

  The emphasis is on learning to downhill ski or snowboard, through weekly lessons.  The program is for the participant who wishes to learn or improve their skills.  All participants are required to take a weekly lesson. 
  Bus transportation is available to Williston Students grades 1st-8th at ABS and WCS.  Buses leave the schools at 2:15 pm.
  Kindergarten children must be transported and have an adult on the mountain with them.
  Transportation is back to WCS Only, leaving Cochran's at 5:00 pm.  Buses arrive at WCS by 5:15 pm.  
  Parents picking their children up, who took the bus, at the mountain must do so before 4:40 pm to check them out. 

NOTE:
  Children who are registered for "With Transportation" are responsible for the following:
     - For getting on all ski/ride and winter gear at school with help from school personnel and parent volunteers
     - For finding their equipment at the mountain and putting it on
     - Knowing whether they are taking the bus or being picked up at the end of each day
     - For those taking the bus, returning their equipment to the Truck/Trailer at the end of each day
  If this is overwhelming for your child you may consider registering without transportation or picking up at the end of each day at the mountain at 4:30 pm.

  Program Information
- This has all the information you need to prepare your child for the program and to ensure they have a successful time.

Equipment Loan- (Click to Sign-up for a Fitting Night & Time Block)
  If your child needs equipment for the program there is some available for loan.
  You must sign up your family for a Fitting Day & Time Block to get loan equipment.
  Click the link above to be brought to the site to sign up.  There is no fee charged. 
  You only need to sign up one parent in the family for a Fitting Day & Time Block.  Then bring all the children in your family to fit during that time block.
  Be sure to complete the sign-up by clicking on the Online Payment option- No Fee will be charged.
  You will pay for the equipment loan the night of the fitting- $30 per child- Check or exact Cash accepted.
  Only two (2) Fitting Nights will be held in early December, after that, you will need to rent equipment from a ski/board shop.
  All loaned equipment Must be brought to a Ski Shop to have a Safety Check and Tuned for your child.  These are not done by the Dept. and Must be done before your child uses the equipment for their safety in the program.  There is a fee for this to be done.

Student Instructors

  7th & 8th grade students will be invited to be student instructors for the program by the Lead Instructor staff.
  They will be given a registration form for parents to fill out and return with the $30 registration fee.  Checks are to be made payable to "Williston Recreation".
  Form and payment can be returned to the school's Main Office or Rec. Dept.  (a drop box behind Town Hall- 7900 Williston Rd can be used)
  There will be a Student Instructor training at Cochran's- Date TBD

Volunteers Needed
  The success of the program depends on the adult volunteers!

  People are needed regularly, each week, and even occasionally, to help with lessons, on the mountain or in the Lodge.  If you plan on taking your child to and from the mountain, please consider how you can help.

Youth Sports Registration:
  • 1. Online registration is available with a credit card (a processing fee of $2 or 3.5 %, whichever is higher, plus 10 cents is added). Using this option, your balance is paid in full, and the person is enrolled.
  • 2. If a non-refundable deposit is available, it can be paid for online. However, the remaining balance is due before the registered person can attend. Some programs or camps have a specific date that the balance has to be paid.
  • 3. Offline registration is available at the Recreation Dept. with a check or cash. You have to come in to do this. Please be sure to create a Household Account online before coming in if you don't have one already.
  • 4. Registrations are NOT accepted over the phone or by email.
  • 5. Online registrations close the night before the start date of the program or on Thursday evening if the program starts over the weekend.
  • 6. Registration Deadlines: if a deadline is posted on the registration page for a program, this is to ensure that there are enough participants to offer the program. The Dept. works with other Depts. to be able to offer programs.
  • 7. No registrations are accepted after the second meeting of a program, or after the first day of a camp, or after the first day of a sports program practice.
  • 8. If a program is Full, register for the waiting list using the Online Payment Option. No fee is charged.
  • 9. Program numbers are checked one week before the start date to see if the minimum number is met.
  • Williston Residents can apply for Financial Assistance if needed. See Link Below
  • Don’t Wait! Register Early! (A program might be canceled due to low enrollment or filled).
