Read about the different themes for each week of Art Camp below:
Nature Art Camp (June 22-26, 8:30a-12:00p)
Artists will celebrate the world of nature by getting outside to create artwork inspired by Mother Nature. Students will create landscapes, botanical art, cyanotype prints, weaving, clay pieces, paintings, and more!
Designer Art Camp (July 6-10, 8:30a-12:00p)
Artists will explore interior and fashion design by creating one-of-a-kind pieces to decorate their rooms. Students will construct 3D dream rooms, lanterns, mixed-media frames, 3D backpack clips, and more.
Comic and Manga Camp (July 13-17, 8:30a-12:00p)
Artists will explore character development, the storytelling process, paneling, and texture and color techniques. Students will bring their unique characters to life with animation extensions. We will take a field trip to the local library to encourage summer reading and to explore comic and manga artists.
Artist Studio Camp (July 27-31, 8:30a-12:00p)
Artists will explore studio thinking and planning to create one-of-a-kind artwork. Students will create mixed-media art through drawing, painting, printmaking, clay, and fiber arts. They will walk away with custom sketchbooks, printed tote bags, wall hangings, and more!
Note:
For all art camps please dress for messes, pack snacks, and bring sunscreen for outdoor art breaks.
