Jazzercise is for EVERYBODY!! Dance, sweat, and say hello to your favorite workout with easy-to-follow dance aerobic moves, strength training, and flexibility.Programs are low impact, with different levels of intensity.  Instructors will show you options to take it high or low with lots of energy - you decide if you need to take your cardio up a notch or 2 with intensity or need to work your muscles more with low impact. 9:45 AM - 10:45 AM    Senior Strength & Functional Mobility- Age 50+ - Senior Strength & Functional Mobility
Grab your weights and a water bottle and join this fitness program that is just for Seniors!  This program will concentrate on developing upper and lower body strength as well as improving balance and strengthening your core. In this dementia-friendly class, participants are encouraged to work within their abilities while socializing and having fun! Program Info:    This program meets twice a week - Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:45-10:45 am   Location- "The R.E.C. Zone" - 94 Harvest Lane, WillistonFee:   $5 per visit   Payable when you attend each classEquipment: (optional but encouraged)  - Hand/ankle weights, bands/tubing, mat, ball  - Water Bottle  - Chairs will be available to all participantsInstructor: Jazmin Averbuck  Bio:  Jazmin currently works for the Vermont Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association in Williston. She is a competitive strength athlete in strongman athletics and highland games and has been teaching group fitness and cardio dance since 2014. With an MS in Health and Physical Activity, Jazmin is excited to bring accessible movement to the 55+ community as they continue to increase brain and body health.  7 years experience leading group fitness and cardio dance classes ARC Lifeguard and First Aid.

The ancient art of Tai Chi has become increasingly popular as people are finding that it improves balance, increases mindfulness, and relaxes the mind and body. This class will present sequences of movements derived from the Sun style which is slow, smooth, and upright in posture making it especially accessible to those over 50 or with impaired mobility. You will learn to wave your hands in the clouds, repel wild monkeys, and separate the earth from the sky. What power! What fun! Dog/Puppy Essentials: Basic Training and Social Skills This class shows you how to have a happy, confident, well-behaved dog. It consists of: practical straight-up obedience (don’t get dragged down the street, have a dog that comes when called, etc.), life skills (don’t jump on my friends, chill out, don’t chew on me, etc.), and understanding how your dog communicates.Along with a simple 4-step approach for teaching your dog almost anything, you'll also get a course booklet and weekly training guides; force-free training; free email/phone support after the class ends; and a student-focused instructor with 20+ years’ experience teaching people and dogs (and a sense of humor).There are two registration options for this class:Option 1: Register with your dog This registration reserves a spot in class for one dog and up to two adult household members (children are permitted to observe only; please contact the instructor in advance).  Option 2: Register Without a DogThis registration is for one person, or up to two household members, who would like to attend the class without a dog. It’s ideal if your dog isn’t a good candidate for a group class, but you still want to work on training at home with support and information. This option allows you to benefit from the class even if it’s full, your dog isn’t ready for a group class, or you do not have a dog.Notes: Dogs do not attend the first session. This class will present sequences of movements derived from the Sun style which is slow, smooth, and upright in posture making it especially accessible to those over 50 or with impaired mobility. You will learn to wave your hands in the clouds, repel wild monkeys, and separate the earth from the sky. What power! What fun! Epic Driving focuses on defensive driving techniques including crash avoidance, situational awareness, zone control, mindful driving, and developing good driving habits. This course includes 30 hours of engaging, differentiated, and responsive classroom activities and weekly, individually scheduled, behind-the-wheel lessons consisting of 45 minutes of instruction and 45 minutes of observation.  This course is for teenagers ages 15-17, with a valid Vermont learner’s permit. Attendance in all scheduled class sessions is required for successful course completion. Please do not register for the program if there are dates you cannot attend.Driving appointments will be scheduled once a week. 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM    Drivers Ed with Epic Driving- Age 15-17 - Driver's Ed- Winter
Epic Driving focuses on defensive driving techniques including crash avoidance, situational awareness, zone control, mindful driving, and developing good driving habits. This course includes 30 hours of engaging, differentiated, and responsive classroom activities and weekly, individually scheduled, behind-the-wheel lessons consisting of 45 minutes of instruction and 45 minutes of observation.  This course is for teenagers ages 15-17, with a valid Vermont learner’s permit. Attendance in all scheduled class sessions is required for successful course completion. Please do not register for the program if there are dates you cannot attend.Driving appointments will be scheduled once a week. Epic Driving focuses on defensive driving techniques including crash avoidance, situational awareness, zone control, mindful driving, and developing good driving habits. This course includes 30 hours of engaging, differentiated, and responsive classroom activities and weekly, individually scheduled, behind-the-wheel lessons consisting of 45 minutes of instruction and 45 minutes of observation.  This course is for teenagers ages 15-17, with a valid Vermont learner’s permit. Attendance in all scheduled class sessions is required for successful course completion. Please do not register for the program if there are dates you cannot attend.Driving appointments will be scheduled once a week. RSVP Bone Builders, a program of United Way of Northwest Vermont, is a FREE low-impact weight training program designed to prevent and reverse osteoporosis in older adults.  Hour long classes are held twice per week.  Geared toward adults 50+ but open to everyone age 18+.Program Info:   Days:          Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting December 10   Time:           10:00-11:00am     Location:    "The R.E.C. In this dementia-friendly class, participants are encouraged to work within their abilities while socializing and having fun! 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM    Drivers Ed with Epic Driving- Age 15-17 - Driver's Ed- Winter
Epic Driving focuses on defensive driving techniques including crash avoidance, situational awareness, zone control, mindful driving, and developing good driving habits. This course includes 30 hours of engaging, differentiated, and responsive classroom activities and weekly, individually scheduled, behind-the-wheel lessons consisting of 45 minutes of instruction and 45 minutes of observation.  This course is for teenagers ages 15-17, with a valid Vermont learner’s permit. Attendance in all scheduled class sessions is required for successful course completion. Please do not register for the program if there are dates you cannot attend.Driving appointments will be scheduled once a week. Does trying something creative, relaxing and fun with other like minded people sound like something you could use in your life right now?If YES, then this program is for YOU!In this 2-hour workshop your instructor will teach you how to decorate a themed set of 5 pre-baked cookies that taste amazing and will look even better once you complete decorating them!You will learn the following decorating techniques, so you can successfully get started with confidence! How to cut tipless piping bags correctly Outlining Flooding "Wet on wet" How to create 3D layered royal icing designs Specific skills relating to the particular theme of your selected class So much more! NOTE:  Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult. If you plan to work together, to decorate the 5 pre-baked cookies, you only need to register your child.If you both want to decorate 5 cookies you need to register both of you for the program.  Instructor: Paulina Thompson   BIO:  A self-taught cookie artist who stumbled upon decorating cookies back in 2019 during a worldwide pandemic, just because it seemed like she was not able to find a pretty cookie that also tasted good. She did her research, watched a ton of videos and started practicing. Having realized "Hey, I'm pretty good at this!"
