Jazzercise is for EVERYBODY!! Dance, sweat, and say hello to your favorite workout with easy-to-follow dance aerobic moves, strength training, and flexibility. The Jazzercise classes are low-impact, with different levels of intensity.  Instructors will show you options to take it high or low with lots of energy. 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM    Drivers Ed- Age 15-17 - Driver's Ed-Fall
Epic Driving focuses on defensive driving techniques, including crash avoidance, situational awareness, zone control, mindful driving, and developing good driving habits. This course includes 30 hours of engaging, differentiated, and responsive classroom activities and weekly, individually scheduled, behind-the-wheel lessons consisting of 45 minutes of instruction and 45 minutes of observation.  This course is for teenagers ages 15-17 with a valid Vermont learner’s permit. Attendance in all scheduled class sessions is required for successful course completion. Please do not register for the program if there are dates you cannot attend.Driving appointments will be scheduled once a week. The ancient art of Tai Chi has become increasingly popular as people are finding that it improves balance, increases mindfulness, and relaxes the mind and body. Each class will present sequences of movements derived from the Sun Style, which is slow, smooth, and upright in posture, making it especially accessible to those over 50 or with impaired mobility. You will learn to wave your hands in the clouds, repel wild monkeys, and separate the earth from the sky. What power! What fun! It consists of: practical, straight-up obedience (don’t get dragged down the street, have a dog that comes when called, etc.), life skills (don’t jump on my friends, chill out, don’t chew on me, etc.), and understanding how your dog communicates.Along with a simple 4-step approach for teaching your dog almost anything, you'll also get a course booklet and weekly training guides; force-free training; free email/phone support after the class ends; and a student-focused instructor with 20+ years’ experience teaching people and dogs (and a sense of humor).There are two registration options for this class:Option 1: Register with your dog This registration reserves a spot in class for one dog and up to two adult household members (children are permitted to observe only; please contact the instructor in advance).  Option 2: Register Without a DogThis registration is for one person, or up to two household members, who would like to attend the class without a dog. It’s ideal if your dog isn’t a good candidate for a group class, but you still want to work on training at home with support and information. This option allows you to benefit from the class even if it’s full, your dog isn’t ready for a group class, or you do not have a dog.Notes: Dogs do not attend the first session. Led by Deb—a seasoned therapy dog handler since the mid-1990s with over two decades of experience directing a major therapy dog certification and training program—this course prepares both dogs and handlers not only for certification but also to excel as a therapy team. Whether you’re working toward certification or are already an active therapy team looking to sharpen skills or learn new ones, this course has you covered. You’ll master essential skills like healing and polite greetings, gain tools for safe and effective teamwork, and learn to read your dog’s body language, ensuring you can meet their needs while building a strong, rewarding partnership.Prerequisites: Instructor approval or prior participation in a Gold Star class. This course does not result in therapy dog certification, nor does it guarantee certification. RSVP Bone Builders, a program of United Way of Northwest Vermont, is a FREE low-impact weight training program designed to prevent and reverse osteoporosis in older adults.  Hour-long classes are held twice per week.  NOTE:  Geared toward adults 50+ but open to everyone age 18+.Program Info:  Days:          Tuesdays and Thursdays  Time:          10:00-11:00 am    Location:   "R.E.C. Grab your weights and a water bottle and join this fitness program that is just for Seniors!  The program will concentrate on developing upper and lower body strength as well as improving balance and strengthening your core.  In this dementia-friendly class, participants are encouraged to work within their abilities while socializing and having fun! Epic Driving focuses on defensive driving techniques, including crash avoidance, situational awareness, zone control, mindful driving, and developing good driving habits. This course includes 30 hours of engaging, differentiated, and responsive classroom activities and weekly, individually scheduled, behind-the-wheel lessons consisting of 45 minutes of instruction and 45 minutes of observation.  This course is for teenagers ages 15-17 with a valid Vermont learner’s permit. Attendance in all scheduled class sessions is required for successful course completion. Please do not register for the program if there are dates you cannot attend.Driving appointments will be scheduled once a week. It consists of: practical, straight-up obedience (don’t get dragged down the street, have a dog that comes when called, etc.), life skills (don’t jump on my friends, chill out, don’t chew on me, etc.), and understanding how your dog communicates.Along with a simple 4-step approach for teaching your dog almost anything, you'll also get a course booklet and weekly training guides; force-free training; free email/phone support after the class ends; and a student-focused instructor with 20+ years’ experience teaching people and dogs (and a sense of humor).There are two registration options for this class:Option 1: Register with your dog This registration reserves a spot in class for one dog and up to two adult household members (children are permitted to observe only; please contact the instructor in advance).  Option 2: Register Without a DogThis registration is for one person, or up to two household members, who would like to attend the class without a dog. You’ll master essential skills like healing and polite greetings, gain tools for safe and effective teamwork, and learn to read your dog’s body language, ensuring you can meet their needs while building a strong, rewarding partnership.Prerequisites: Instructor approval or prior participation in a Gold Star class. Epic Driving focuses on defensive driving techniques, including crash avoidance, situational awareness, zone control, mindful driving, and developing good driving habits. This course includes 30 hours of engaging, differentiated, and responsive classroom activities and weekly, individually scheduled, behind-the-wheel lessons consisting of 45 minutes of instruction and 45 minutes of observation.  This course is for teenagers ages 15-17 with a valid Vermont learner’s permit. Attendance in all scheduled class sessions is required for successful course completion. Please do not register for the program if there are dates you cannot attend.Driving appointments will be scheduled once a week. From creepy creations to festive bites, this hands-on class blends creativity, confidence-building, and fun, all with a spooky twist.Notes: If your child has long hair, we recommend it be tied back. Closed-toe shoes are required because the floor gets slippery. Please make us aware of any dietary needs or restrictions (Allergies, gluten-free, vegetarian, etc.) Instructor: Lynn Brown     Bio: Lynn has been teaching cooking and food systems recreationally for over 12 years.  Her degree in agriculture is the basis for her love of food, gardening, science, and nature.  She is the Garden Coordinator at WCS and Jr. Iron Chef VT coach whose team just won the Lively Local Award at this year's competition.  Lynn enjoys introducing kids to food through experiences and tastings.  She incorporates food system knowledge with games and lets kids explore flavor components with unique activities.  Her philosophy is that the kitchen should be a fun place to make mistakes as well as memories.

Epic Driving focuses on defensive driving techniques, including crash avoidance, situational awareness, zone control, mindful driving, and developing good driving habits. This course includes 30 hours of engaging, differentiated, and responsive classroom activities and weekly, individually scheduled, behind-the-wheel lessons consisting of 45 minutes of instruction and 45 minutes of observation.  This course is for teenagers ages 15-17 with a valid Vermont learner’s permit. Attendance in all scheduled class sessions is required for successful course completion. Please do not register for the program if there are dates you cannot attend.Driving appointments will be scheduled once a week. Epic Driving focuses on defensive driving techniques, including crash avoidance, situational awareness, zone control, mindful driving, and developing good driving habits. This course includes 30 hours of engaging, differentiated, and responsive classroom activities and weekly, individually scheduled, behind-the-wheel lessons consisting of 45 minutes of instruction and 45 minutes of observation.  This course is for teenagers ages 15-17 with a valid Vermont learner’s permit. Attendance in all scheduled class sessions is required for successful course completion. Please do not register for the program if there are dates you cannot attend.Driving appointments will be scheduled once a week. Zumba Gold is a modified version of Zumba that is geared towards active older adults seeking lower-impact workouts. The ancient art of Tai Chi has become increasingly popular as people are finding that it improves balance, increases mindfulness, and relaxes the mind and body. Each class will present sequences of movements derived from the Sun Style, which is slow, smooth, and upright in posture, making it especially accessible to those over 50 or with impaired mobility. You will learn to wave your hands in the clouds, repel wild monkeys, and separate the earth from the sky. What power! What fun! Epic Driving focuses on defensive driving techniques, including crash avoidance, situational awareness, zone control, mindful driving, and developing good driving habits. This course includes 30 hours of engaging, differentiated, and responsive classroom activities and weekly, individually scheduled, behind-the-wheel lessons consisting of 45 minutes of instruction and 45 minutes of observation.  This course is for teenagers ages 15-17 with a valid Vermont learner’s permit. Attendance in all scheduled class sessions is required for successful course completion. Please do not register for the program if there are dates you cannot attend.Driving appointments will be scheduled once a week. It’s ideal if your dog isn’t a good candidate for a group class, but you still want to work on training at home with support and information. This option allows you to benefit from the class even if it’s full, your dog isn’t ready for a group class, or you do not have a dog.Notes: Dogs do not attend the first session. Dogs should be free of aggression/reactivity towards people or other dogs (contact the instructor in advance if you have questions about this). Epic Driving focuses on defensive driving techniques, including crash avoidance, situational awareness, zone control, mindful driving, and developing good driving habits. This course includes 30 hours of engaging, differentiated, and responsive classroom activities and weekly, individually scheduled, behind-the-wheel lessons consisting of 45 minutes of instruction and 45 minutes of observation.  This course is for teenagers ages 15-17 with a valid Vermont learner’s permit. Attendance in all scheduled class sessions is required for successful course completion. Please do not register for the program if there are dates you cannot attend.Driving appointments will be scheduled once a week.
