Tai Chi Intro, Age 50+ - Tai Chi Intro The ancient art of Tai Chi has become increasingly popular as people are finding that it improves balance, increases mindfulness, and relaxes the mind and body. Each class will present sequences of movements derived from the Sun Style, which is slow, smooth, and upright in posture, making it especially accessible to those over 50 or with impaired mobility. Participants will learn about matrices, geometric transformations, and how animations and projectiles are built using simple math concepts. Designed for high school students to adults, no advanced math skills are needed, just curiosity and interest in how things work.Matrix Workshop: How Do Computers See Objects?: An Introduction to Matrices and TransformationsIn this workshop, students will discover what a matrix is and how they are used on your computer. We will look at images and simple geometric shapes as matrices, go over how they interact with each other and are used by the computer, and recreate the way games/animations 'transform' these objects to make them move, shift, and spin, all using some basic mathematical processes. Vector Workshop: Follow the Bouncing Ball: An Introduction to Vectors and MotionIn this workshop, students will discover vectors and some basic use cases for games and animation. You will learn how to create various objects and shapes with vectors, as well as a projectile with accurate collision effects using math. Circular Weaving Intro, Age 18+ - Introduction to Circular Weaving - Fall Come learn this fun and relaxing way to weave!This program will introduce weavers to the circular loom. Participants will either make a bowl or a flat piece and will be shown a variety of techniques to create different effects. Finishing techniques will also be covered. Participants will be provided with yarn and a loom to keep. Scissors and yarn needles will be available during the program. Instructor: Bradie Hansen Bio: Bradie Hansen is a fiber crafter, artist, author, and psychologist. She teaches tapestry weaving and the Weaving Your Story programs at the Shelburne Craft School, where she also helps to manage the fiber studio, and she is passionate about making fiber art accessible to all people. Bradie is also the co-author of The Long Grief Journey, which is about long-term and unresolved grief.

Circular Weaving Intro, Age 18+ - Introduction to Circular Weaving - Fall Come learn this fun and relaxing way to weave!This program will introduce weavers to the circular loom. Participants will either make a bowl or a flat piece and will be shown a variety of techniques to create different effects. Finishing techniques will also be covered. Participants will be provided with yarn and a loom to keep. Scissors and yarn needles will be available during the program. Instructor: Bradie Hansen Bio: Bradie Hansen is a fiber crafter, artist, author, and psychologist. She teaches tapestry weaving and the Weaving Your Story programs at the Shelburne Craft School, where she also helps to manage the fiber studio, and she is passionate about making fiber art accessible to all people. Bradie is also the co-author of The Long Grief Journey, which is about long-term and unresolved grief.

Participants will learn about matrices, geometric transformations, and how animations and projectiles are built using simple math concepts. Designed for high school students to adults, no advanced math skills are needed, just curiosity and interest in how things work.Matrix Workshop: How Do Computers See Objects?: An Introduction to Matrices and TransformationsIn this workshop, students will discover what a matrix is and how they are used on your computer. Drivers Ed- Age 15-17 - Driver's Ed-Fall Epic Driving focuses on defensive driving techniques, including crash avoidance, situational awareness, zone control, mindful driving, and developing good driving habits. This course includes 30 hours of engaging, differentiated, and responsive classroom activities and weekly, individually scheduled, behind-the-wheel lessons consisting of 45 minutes of instruction and 45 minutes of observation. This course is for teenagers ages 15-17 with a valid Vermont learner’s permit. Attendance in all scheduled class sessions is required for successful course completion. Please do not register for the program if there are dates you cannot attend.Driving appointments will be scheduled once a week. Participants will learn about matrices, geometric transformations, and how animations and projectiles are built using simple math concepts. Designed for high school students to adults, no advanced math skills are needed, just curiosity and interest in how things work.Matrix Workshop: How Do Computers See Objects?: An Introduction to Matrices and TransformationsIn this workshop, students will discover what a matrix is and how they are used on your computer. We will look at images and simple geometric shapes as matrices, go over how they interact with each other and are used by the computer, and recreate the way games/animations 'transform' these objects to make them move, shift, and spin, all using some basic mathematical processes. Vector Workshop: Follow the Bouncing Ball: An Introduction to Vectors and MotionIn this workshop, students will discover vectors and some basic use cases for games and animation. You will learn how to create various objects and shapes with vectors, as well as a projectile with accurate collision effects using math. Dog Training- Basics, Age 18+ - Essentials/Basics- S7 Dog/Puppy Essentials: Basic Training and Social Skills This class shows you how to have a happy, confident, well-behaved dog. It consists of: practical, straight-up obedience (don’t get dragged down the street, have a dog that comes when called, etc.), life skills (don’t jump on my friends, chill out, don’t chew on me, etc.), and understanding how your dog communicates.Along with a simple 4-step approach for teaching your dog almost anything, you'll also get a course booklet and weekly training guides; force-free training; free email/phone support after the class ends; and a student-focused instructor with 20+ years’ experience teaching people and dogs (and a sense of humor).There are two registration options for this class:Option 1: Register with your dog This registration reserves a spot in class for one dog and up to two adult household members (children are permitted to observe only; please contact the instructor in advance). Option 2: Register Without a DogThis registration is for one person, or up to two household members, who would like to attend the class without a dog. It’s ideal if your dog isn’t a good candidate for a group class, but you still want to work on training at home with support and information. Jazzercise Cardio Sculpt Programs, Age 16+ - Jazzercise- Tues & Fri Jazzercise is for EVERYBODY!! Dance, sweat, and say hello to your favorite workout with easy-to-follow dance aerobic moves, strength training, and flexibility. The Jazzercise classes are low-impact, with different levels of intensity. Instructors will show you options to take it high or low with lots of energy. You decide if you need to take your cardio up a notch or two with intensity or need to work your muscles more intentionally. Use of a chair is optional.NOTE: Jazzercise classes are perfect for any age, 16+, if you want a low-impact workout to start or continue your physical wellness journey. They’re essential for keeping your body strong and moving through every season of life. Circular Weaving Intro, Age 18+ - Introduction to Circular Weaving - Fall Come learn this fun and relaxing way to weave!This program will introduce weavers to the circular loom. Participants will either make a bowl or a flat piece and will be shown a variety of techniques to create different effects. Finishing techniques will also be covered. Participants will be provided with yarn and a loom to keep. Scissors and yarn needles will be available during the program. Instructor: Bradie Hansen Bio: Bradie Hansen is a fiber crafter, artist, author, and psychologist. She teaches tapestry weaving and the Weaving Your Story programs at the Shelburne Craft School, where she also helps to manage the fiber studio, and she is passionate about making fiber art accessible to all people. Bradie is also the co-author of The Long Grief Journey, which is about long-term and unresolved grief.
