Fireworks

The Williston Independence Day Celebration will have activities on July 1, July 3 & July 4 this year.  Check back regularly as new things are being added to the celebration.

  Is your group or organization a non-profit?  If so, you can register to have space on the Village Green, after the parade, to set up a booth.  Registration forms available below

Sponsorships:
  Does your group, organization or business want to be a sponsor of the Independence Day Celebration- Sponsorship Opportunities are still available, contact the Recreation Department.

Food Trucks/Booths:
  There will be Food Trucks/Booths in the evening from 6:00-9:00p in front of WCS

Activities:
  There will be activities on the "Village Green" after the parade from 11:00a-1:00p and at Village Community Park from 6:00-9:00p.  Activities sponsored by Crosspoint Church

Entertainment:
  New this year there will be live music by "The Northern Comfort Band" from 6:00-9:00pm at the park.  Be sure to stop by to hear them play.  Entertainment sponsored by JL Davis Realty

Shuttle:
  There will be 2 shuttles run by SSTA on July 4 starting at 6:30pm. 
  Last shuttle time to get to the Village Community Park for the fireworks will be at 9:00pm.  Fireworks at 9:20pm.
  Shuttle will run after the fireworks to get you back.  Last shuttle run is at 10:30pm.

Shuttle stops for both SSTA buses will be the following 
  Allen Brook School parking lot - (there will be a sign at the pick up point at the end of the sidewalk west of the school heading towards the walking path)
  Corner of Stillwater Lane and Holland Lane in Finney Crossing - (there will be a sign on the corner for pick up)
  Corner of Market Street and Holland Lane - (diagonally across from Healthy Living parking lot.  there will be a sign on the right side corner before the intersection for pick up)
  Shaw’s left side Parking Lot - (east side of Shaw’s not the main parking lot)
  Williston Central School - (at the end of bus loop at the beginning of path. There will be sign where drop off and pick will be)

Fireworks Information:
  • The fireworks display will be at Village Community Park.
  • Seating for the display will be in the fields behind the school, the entrance to the park, the playgrounds and surrounding areas.
  • The display will be set off on the North Soccer Fields area.
  • The North Path will be closed during the day while the display is being set up, from the intersection near the volleyball courts North to the intersection near the disc golf course- this is the path that goes by the baseball field.
  • The path will be open from North Williston Road to Old Stage Road by going in front of the volleyball courts and disc golf course.
  • Starting at 9:00pm until 10:00pm, and during the Fireworks display, the path will be closed off in front of the disc golf area and the entrance to Allen Brook Trail.
  • There will be yellow caution tape across the field area of the south soccer fields that no one is to cross. This is for the safety of all.
  • Parking will be available at and around Williston Central School.
